Mechanical Design Drafter

Fyfe is seeking to employ an experienced Mechanical Design Drafter to join our team in Brisbane, initially on a casual or contract basis. Our team of experienced design drafters support the business in delivering a range of complex oil and gas projects to our enviable client base.

In this role you will be responsible for delivering a wide range of designs for oil and gas projects, ensuring work produced is of a high quality and delivered within the required time frame.

This will require a combination of communication skills and significant technical knowledge in the oil and gas industry.

Requirements

• Significant experience in design drafting of Oil and Gas projects in AutoCAD
• 3D Piping Design in AutoCAD Plant 3D
• Preparation of P&ID, Orthographic and Isometric drawings
• Smart Plant P&ID (SPPID) experience an advantage
• Survey drafting experience an advantage
• Point cloud in Cyclone and CloudWorx experience an advantage
• Strong knowledge of Australian design codes and standards
• Advanced communication and interpersonal skills

This position is initially available on a casual or fixed term basis with potential for longer term work.

The successful candidate will have a positive and professional attitude and be able to contribute to the technical capability of our team drawing on previous experience in mechanical design drafting.

Registered Land Surveyor

Our NSW operations located in Muswellbrook provide cadastral, land and engineering surveying services for a diverse group of clients from local developers and rural businesses to regional councils and major mining operations.

Our team in Muswellbrook are looking for an experienced Registered Land Surveyor to assist our existing team of Surveyors.

In this role you will manage the delivery of cadastral projects and oversee our current team of surveyors. This will include management of project schedules, budgets, resourcing, delivery and mentoring.

As the successful candidate you will demonstrate strong survey experience, underpinned by your background as a Registered Land Surveyor. This will be complemented by your effective communication skills and an ability to liaise with a range of stakeholders to expand the company’s profile in the region.

The NSW branch is supported by Fyfe’s head office, and part of this important role will be working in collaboration with other Fyfe offices.

Requirements

• Registered Land Surveyor in NSW essential
• Organisation and leadership experience
• Local client and project management expertise
• Well-developed interpersonal, communication and networking skills
• Sound understanding of appropriate legislation
• Experience performing business development activities highly regarded
