Project Managers read><close

Project Managers are responsible for managing individual projects within the company in fields such as land development, engineering & infrastructure, pipeline engineering and town planning. They are also required to manage prime service contracts with clients. As a project manager you are required to organise the personnel to undertake the work, liaise with clients, coordinate the design and field work and carry out the administration of the project. Project Managers will be called upon to develop the business and to assist with the recruitment of personnel to expand the services provided by Fyfe.

Chemical, Mechanical, Civil and Electrical Engineers read><close

Fyfe carries out work across most engineering disciplines from process design in the oil and gas sector to the design of civil engineering infrastructure. In these disciplines the engineer will carry out design calculations, produce front end engineering design documents, prepare data sheets, conduct risk assessments, prepare specifications, work estimates and prepare construction specifications.

As a senior engineer you will be required to lead a small team of interdisciplinary engineers in undertaking projects, review designs, coordinate drafting activities, check design drawings and provide mentoring and guidance to junior engineers.

2 years minimum experience is usually required for qualified engineers and 8 years experience for a senior engineering position.

Mechanical, Piping, Electrical and Survey Drafters read><close

Fyfe undertakes work in several drafting areas including piping and valving for the oil and gas industry, mechanical process equipment for oil and gas and infrastructure industry, electrical and instrumentation drawings for the oil and gas industry and survey drawings for the infrastructure and land development industry.

Drafters are required to prepare drawings including equipment layouts, isometric drawings, line diagrams and other drawings associated with each discipline. It will also be necessary to prepare bills of materials and be familiar with drafting software packages.

As a senior drafter you will be required to train other drafters, carry out additional design work and have around 8 years experience.

Surveyors read><close

Fyfe are one of the largest survey companies in SA and Surveyors will need to carry out work in a wide variety of areas from oil & gas and infrastructure to land development. The survey work will include both engineering, contour and construction surveys including GPS control surveys, pipeline route selection, tertiary network traversing, detail and setouts for land development, torrens, strata and community title surveys and boundary redefinition surveys.

5 years minimum experience is usually required by Fyfe for qualified surveyors.

Town Planning read><close

Town Planners within Fyfe work closely with clients in the private and public sector. You will be involved in reviewing and providing advice on planning documents prepared by Local Government authorities, representing and informing stakeholders on planning activities that affect the greater community and reviewing and monitoring projects to ensure compliance with standards and legislation. To be successful you need to manage multi‐disciplinary projects and have the ability to develop relationships with external agencies.
