The highly skilled electrical equipment for hazardous areas(EEHA) engineers and technicians of Fyfe’s Automation Division understand the need for a comprehensive hazardous areas management plan that includes equipment inspection and verification.

Electrical Equipment for Hazardous Areas (EEHA) Inspection and Verification Services

The engineers and technicians of Fyfe's Automation services have a strong emphasis on safety and Australian Standards. Our EEHA specialists provide inspection and verification services to the oil and gas and dust industries.

Managing hazardous area environments is a legislative requirement and critical to the safety of hazardous areas facilities throughout the entire life cycle, including design, commissioning, operation and decommissioning. The management process requires a detailed and thoroughly planned approach as outlined in AS/NZS 60079.14, AS/NZS 4761.1:2008 and other relevant standards. As a minimum your plan should include:

  • EEHA competency trained staff (including designers, engineers, operators and maintenance staff) and documentation of staff competencies
  • EEHA equipment/plant inspections (detailed inspection during pre-commissioning and visual/detailed inspections as part of periodic inspection requirements)
  • EEHA dossier verification (first developed during design phase and updated throughout the facility’s life cycle).
